There are some types of camcorders; one of them is DVD camcorders. Usually the types of camcorder look from the storage type that use by the camcorder. DVD camcorder is a camcorder that uses DVD as the storage to save the recording. By using DVD camcorder your recording will directly save to the DVD and after that you can play the DVD to your home DVD player or on your PC and with that you do not have to always attach the camcorder to a TV to watch your recordings, this make DVD camcorder more flexible.

DVD camcorder can create a recording result with high resolution DVD format and outstanding record quality. DVD camcorder made easy to search specific scenes because usually it has features that display a list of the recorded scenes for quick and easy searching, this features is displayed on the LCD displays. Video tapes camcorder need to fast forwarding and rewinding to find the specific scene that we need to look.

There are two version of DVD camcorder that is rewritable DVD-RAM/R and DVD-R/RW discs. The rewritable DVD-RAM/R versions require a DVD player with RAM playback or if you are using PC you will need PC with a DVD-RAM drive. The DVD-R/RW discs are more popular than the first version because it will work with most ordinary DVD players.
