Making Back UP Data To External Drives
By: Indra Zakki
We certainly have important data on the computer and even some of them are vital. When something happens that is not expected to occur on the computer even though we have already saved our data, the data can suddenly lost or damaged. Therefore we need to back up data on our computers.
Internal Back Up and External Back Up
Back up data can be done in our own internal computer or external computer. To make a back up system with Windows XP you can use system restore utilities of the Windows XP, you will create a restore point every few days, and when the error occurred in the system windows you just stay back to restore point before. However, this requires a large space.
To do back up on the entire contents of the Hard disk that you have. You can do with the clone. In this way, you will duplicate the entire contents of the original hard disk to another hard disk with comparison 1:1. The software that I usual use to make the clone disk is XXClone. The advantages of this software XXClone is free and can duplicate Hard disk when windows run.
You can download it at http://www.xxclone.com/.
Using this software is very easy. You just install the software as usual in the main hard drive or hard disk origin. And then pair with the main hard disk destination. Place the main hard drive in IDE Primary Master and put Hard Disk Destination in the IDE Secondary Master. After that run the software and do the clone. If you are confused using this software you can read the tutorial at www.xxclone.com.
If you only need to back up data, you need External Hard Drive. Using External Hard Drive is very easy you just connect the External Hard Drive to your computer and select data, which will be back up then copy to External Hard Drive. But are suggested to organize your data in the external storage so that you are not difficult to access them again.
