The External Hard Disk HP StorageWorks RDX

Data is vital, not only by companies but also by individuals. Now this data can be stored in digital form. There are many digital media storage. There is a form of internal storage and external storage. There are several types of external storage such as CD, DVD, Flash Drive, and others. Any external storage has advantages and benefits of each. To be able to save the data required a large investment.

StorageWorks RDX have several advantages, namely:

To make a back-up, users only need to copy and paste or drag and drop. StorageWorks RDX equipped with Auto Backup HP RDX Continuous Data Protection. By using this software the backup data will become easier. This software can do backups from the operating system, applications, and data stored on computer hard disk. The advantages of this software are after backup the entire contents of the computer, backups can take place with the next more quickly, because in the next backup software is only a backup to the new data or update the new data only. The old data does not change so it does not make backups to the old data that need a long time and there is no data backup redundancy (the same data). In addition the user can also set the time backup automatically. When the backup is running and terminated by the user or the other, then the backup process can be resumed right where the process is stopped. But the data backup not protected with a password or encryption software. Protection is performed by reading the computer code or name of the computer that do data backup, so it can not be used by other computer. This fact may complicate the user if any damage occurred on the PC or notebook that do backup, the data will be difficult unless the code is returned or computer name is the same.
StorageWorks RDX cartridge available with capacity 160, 320, and 500GB. StorageWorks RDX sold with a package consisting of a docking unit and the cartridge. To add the memory capacity, users can buy the additional cartridge. The docking unit not sold separately.
