Maybe some of you think why I should have an external hard drive??. Actual external hard drive is required to store important data on your computer and can be used to perform recovery on your main hard disk. Things you must do is to back up your data, especially data that are important to the external hard drive and save the external hard drive in a secure place and also many more who will get benefit from the external hard drive.
Tips
There are a few things you should look to prevent data loss and damage to your hard disk that is:
- In addition to saving your data on your main hard disk use external hard drive to back up your data
- Create multiple partitions on your hard disk to store data so that important when your error occurred on the main partition your data would be safe.
- Use UPS if you use a desktop pc. UPS is required when the electricity died suddenly at home so you computer still alive and you have the opportunity to turn off your computer as usual, so you do not lose data on your hard disk.
- Use anti virus with latest update to protect the data and OS on your computer and always scan each time you use external storage that is connected with another computer.
- If you are connected to the Internet use a firewall to prevent the entry of viruses and other bad things that come from the Internet.
Do not panic when the error occurred on the hard drive. You must find information how to improve it. Immediately remove the hard drive of your computer and take it to the person who can fix it. Remember that hardware failure does not look brand.
