Choosing recording media camcorder is very important and you must be very careful when choosing it, because the recording media is the media that you will place the result of your recording. Recording media for camcorder must easy to carry, easy to back up and also must easy to share.

Hard Disk camcorders are builds in huge capacity. If you compare the capacity of hard disk camcorder with other storage type of camcorder you will see the different. Camcorder with Hard Disk, have compression capability, so it will give you more time to record your moments. A Hard Disk Camcorder with 30Gb of capacity it will save about 7 hours of recording with good quality video picture and also can save about 37.5 hours of recording with economic quality video picture. A Hard Disk Camcorder with 20Gb of capacity it will save about 5 of recording with good quality video picture and also can save about 25 hours of recording with economic quality video picture. If you use DVD type camcorder to do these 7 hours recording, you will need about 22 DVD (and you must change your DVD 22 times, it very exhausted and consuming time).

When recording, you do not need to replace the storage media so you will not stop your recording as long you have capacity.

2. Quality video picture

Camcorder with hard disk type have a very good video picture quality because have DVD quality video picture.

3. Size

Hard Disk Camcorder usually builds with small size (also usually smaller than the other type of camcorder) and builds very compact.

4. No moving parts

Hard Disk camcorder not have moving parts so it will reduce the change of mechanical break down.

5. Fast data transfer

You can save your recording to your computer by using USB cable. And the transfer speed very fast because allow you to transfer a 60 minutes of video with only 10 minutes of times.

If you think that hard disk camcorder are expensive you must compare the use with the other type of camcorder, you will find that price is doesn’t matter.
