A slow PC can be caused by low capacity of RAM. For a long time a go many application build with simple features but now many applications builds with many great features to make the user easy using the application and able to support what user needs (like office or games). That thing makes the application need a lot of memory source to make the application running good.
Bigger memory capacity is better to make the operating system run faster. If you want to install operating system and applications to your PC, be sure your hardware PC specification is match (more is better) to the operating system and applications needs, so you do not need to change your PC hardware configurations.
If you have small capacity of RAM you must replacing your RAM with RAM that has bigger capacity, but be sure you must using RAM that support to your PC, because if it is not support it will make your PC run slower, hang or maybe the RAM cannot used.
The other thing that makes PC run slower is that the hardware age too old. Hardware has age too, if it is too old it will worn-out that make the PC run slower when boot and shutdown and also sometimes comes error message when running some applications. The best thing is when this happen to you is take your PC to the PC experts to fix it or you can upgrade your PC in to a newer type of PC.
But before you do that fist you must know where this error came from, is it from the hardware or maybe the software? This can be done by placing the PC in to safe mode to know if the problem came from the software.
