Back up is the best way to save data. Make a back up data on your computer that is on your internal hard disk. Usually this is done by creating a special partition on the hard disk that contains the specific data. But to be more secure, it is also the data stored on the External Drive. External drives are good to use, because the External Drive is very portable and can be taken anywhere. Unlike the Internal drive or called as usual Fixed Drive, internal hard drive is hard when you brought it to travel. Some people have their mind to make back up data after they fixed drives that they use damaged. But actually it’s too late.

Maybe right now you are thinking to start to make back up the data into the external drive because there is some possibility that damage occurred on your fixed drive. But you may be confused, what external hard drive you should buy. Here are some tips in buying external drive:

1. Check the Price.
Before you buy external drive make sure you have enough funds to buy them. If you do not have a problem with the funds things, then you do not need to worry with the external drive products that are expensive. But it still recommended checking the prices before you buy any product, so that the price of the product that buys is not too high. To do a price check, you can do it by browsing the internet about the external drive that you will buy. Check the price in some website of some external drives. The results of this check, you can do price comparison external drive which is cheaper. Usually the price will never deceive. The higher the price the better the quality of its products.

2. Check the product reviews.
In addition to check the price at the time of browsing the Internet, check the level of customer satisfaction against external drive that you check. The higher level of customer satisfaction is better.

3. Check the brand.
Always buy products with a brand or to buy products that you know the brand or product brand that trusted by many people and many people are use the brand. Usually the product that has a brand certainly has a better quality when compared to other products that do not have the brand.

4. Check the ability of the external drive.
To check the ability of the external drive, you do not need to check the external drive in the lab; you only have to see the product specifications that are mention in the product. Choose the appropriate connectivity with your computer. Connectivity is usually provided in the box purchase. For connectivity, never use USB 1.0 because this is a long type of USB and has slow transfer speeds.

6. Select a large capacity.
Select External hard drives that have a large capacity, because of the greater capacity will be more data that you can back up.

7. The size and shape.
Usually the size of portable external hard drive is small and has a very light weight. Even some external hard drives can be entered into your pocket. Choose the form in accordance with your taste. Now the manufacturer of this external hard drive creates the form of an external hard drive with several of style.

8. Always check the warranty and after sales service.
Always check how long the warranty provided by the manufacturer of External hard drive. The longer the warranty period the better. Usually the warranty period mean that the external hard drives that their sale made from very good material quality. Note also that after sales service provided by the manufacturer when the damage occurred on the external hard drive. Choose which have a good after sales service, because if the damage occurred on the external hard drive that you purchased is quickly repaired by the manufacturer (still within warranty period). But usually when the damage occurs, contact the store where you buy the external hard drive, because usually they will help you more quickly.
